T Mobile will be the first carrier of Googles much hyped Android mobile platform on September 17. The phone to debut Android will be HTCs “Dream” (name has not been officially announced). The “Dream features a full touch screen, just like the iPhone, but that’s not all. The screen slides away just like T Mobile’s famous “Sidekick” to reveal a full, 5-row QWERTY keyboard.
The phone will also have
- a 3 x 5 inch screen
- 3G connectivity
- and a 3 megapixel camera
T Mobile also seems to be going with a strange pricing strategy - $150 in the first week, then increasing to $250 and $400 each week after that.
Here’s a YouTube video thought to be of the HTC “Dream”:
Step aside iPhone, there’s a new player in town.

A qwerty addition will be nice, but this 3mpx camera is quite lowish.
