Spore to export models into Maya

In case you have been living in your basement for the last two years, Spore is a cleverly designed sim (simulation game) published by EA (Electronic Arts) and Developed by Maxis. The player starts off as a single-cell organism, and controls his creature’s evolution into a spacefaring culture.

In a chat with the Joystiq crew, Thomas Vu – a producer at Maxis – said that it is very likely that your creations in Spore will be exportable to the popular 3D modeling software Maya. Vu said it is likely the models will probably be exported into other modeling softwares too. Machinima gurus rejoice!
