Regator, a social feed aggregator (which has been in development for almost a year) has just launched to the public today. Regator’s goal is to combine a digg-esque frontpage of popular blog posts, with a classic feed aggregator. If you know what you’re looking for, you can refine the type of content you want by navigating the folder hierarchy of blogs on the left hand side.

If you like a post you can favorite the blog or save individual posts. My favorite feature may be discreet, but the problem it solves is something that has irked me for a while on Google reader. Regator allows you to create a playlist of podcasts, and listen to them while you navigate elsewhere. This is a first appearance in the world of feed aggregators.

Regator is a more than solid aggregator and I plan to use it as my default reader from now on. If you haven’t signed up already, head over there right now! (signup takes about 10 seconds) And besides, you can’t resist Regator’s cleverly branded mascot!

I am incredibly excited today because my favorite social bookmarking site Del.icio.us has been completely redesigned. Most importantly the Delicious team has moved the site over to a new domain – Delicious.com. The official blog reports that many users have had trouble typing the URL correctly, this is fixed with the new domain (and I completely agree).

The entire site has been flipped from that ugly old design to a brand-spankin’ new one, which looks incredible! Delicious has switched over to a new platform, rolling out RSS feeds and API, as well as improved search and speed.

There’s a cool before & after transformation video at the Delicious blog, go check it out!

If you’re not using Delicious now, you have a reason to now!
